The Optimum L4150 is Hypercom’s PCI PED 2.x online and offline approved, high-performance multi-lane payment and advertising terminal. Easy to use and attractive at the same time, using Hypercom’s innovative, bi-directional magnetic stripe reader means your customers won’t have to deal with frustrating fumbles. In fact, you get accurate card data reads well beyond normal swipe-speeds so you can reduce lane slowdowns and cashier interactions. The sleek, compact design of the Optimum L4150 saves valuable counterspace, and its size does not increase when options are added. The bright 65,536 color, 1/4 VGA display and integrated capacitive touch system, that includes a transparent glass top screen, are designed to facilitate customer-activated transactions and to implement campaigns in the lane.

The Optimum L4250 terminal is the first PCI PED approved multi-lane payment terminal that supply out-of-the-box, plug-and-play secure PIN entry without the need for add-on components. The Optimum L4250 terminal is a high-performance signature capture payment device with a 220x80 pixel 16-greyscale LCD touchscreen that is suited to retail branding. It also features a recessed 13-key keypad with an integrated privacy shield to safeguard consumer data during PIN entry, EMV-approved smart card reader and an optional integrated contactless RF reader that supports cards and key fobs from American Express®, MasterCard® PayPass® and Visa® Contactless payment programs.

Designed to enhance the overall usability of L4150 terminals, the Optimum L4150 Secure Keypad provides users with an easy-to-install physical keypad to assist the visually impaired during the transaction payment process. The Optimum L4150 Secure Keypad can be used for secure PIN entry, or any numeric data entry, augmenting the virtual keypad capabilities of the L4150 terminal. When purchased separately, this optional Secure Keypad can be integrated with a new Optimum L4150 PCI PED 2.x terminal. For Secure Keypad attachment to older terminals, an initial “pairing key” needs to be loaded to the L4150. No secure room or additional shipping costs or delay are required. The Optimum L4150 Secure Keypad is fully PCI PED compliant. When connected to an Optimum L4150 PCI PED 2.x terminal the combined unit is PCI PED 2.x approved. When connected to an older L4150 the combined unit is PCI PED 1.3 approved.
