the underlying communications network. And yet, as years go by, and staff changes
occur, many companies find that they no longer have the staff resources and expertise
to effectively manage their in-house networks. Others may find that they have not
taken optimum advantage of technology upgrades and refinements that would serve
to make their networks more operationally efficient, more reliable and more secure.

Network Technology Assessment
The Hypercom Network Technology Assessment (HNTA) is our most comprehensive analysis
of a customer network. Based on the complexity of the network, a Professional Services
Engineer will spend either three or five days on-site with the customer to evaluate
and fine tune their online network infrastructure, as well as recommend upgrades
to optimize network performance.
The Network Technology Assessment enables customers to:
- Review the current state of the network with a Hypercom expert
- Learn about updates and enhanced capabilities of network components and support
systems
- Gain hands-on technical support for retuning, resetting, and/or upgrading the transaction
network
- Enhance understanding of administration, support and monitoring processes.
The HNTA includes professional consulting services and customized documentation
based on specific customer requirements. Additionally, Hypercom Global Professional
Services conducts an in-depth analysis of historical transaction data to determine
necessary tuning and system upgrades. The report that will be provided at the conclusion
of the engagement will include a detailed analysis of the network performance, issues
identified, traffic diagrams for critical links, statistical diagrams showing response
times, distribution traffic tables, mean and peak line utilization tables, statistical
analysis and recommendations for network refinements and/or upgrades.
Hypercom Network Design & Implementation
This engagement is targeted at organizations that are planning to install an in-house
network for high-speed, secure transaction processing. Legacy Hypercom network clients
may also be interested in this engagement to design a replacement network as may
be required for EMV compliance or other upgraded functionality. Hypercom Professional
Services Engineers are also available for on-site or remote implementation of an
entire network or new network components.
Hypercom Network Training
Hypercom Professional Services Engineers will conduct a three-day training course
for network technicians either at a customer facility or at an easily accessible
location for multiple customers within a geographic region. This course will provide
hands-on training for staff that is new to the Hypercom network product or for anyone
in need of a network refresher course.
Network Monitoring Service
This service provides proactive monitoring of a customer network. Our professional
Technical Assistance Center, manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, can act as
your first line of defense for network problems. Our team of Service Engineers can
remotely monitor your entire network - down to the availability of host nodes -
through the use of our award-winning HypercomView™ network management support system
or other network monitoring packages. This service is available for either 24-hour
or off-hour monitoring.
Hypercom Network Management Service
If staff changes or reductions in workforce have left your network vulnerable,
let Hypercom supply end-to-end management. This service can encompass management
of telecommunications vendors, 24x7 network monitoring, repair and replacement of
network components, and even a complete network redesign and replacement.
Disaster Planning
If your in-house network has even one single-point-of-failure, it is one too many.
Let Hypercom Global Professional Services analyze your network and recommend a fail-safe
design. For customers who require a disaster backup facility, Hypercom can also
provide a hosted service.
